Board of Management January 2018 Meeting Report

AGREED REPORT - 30th January 2018

  • The Board would like to wish Annette Duffy a happy and healthy retirement. Annette retired at Christmas and we thank her for many years of excellent work and commitment in St. Joseph's.

  • The Board would like to welcome Ian O’ Beirne, a new member of staff, to St. Joseph's and wish him every success.

  • Congratulations to all pupils, parents and staff involved in the Christmas play. This wonderful celebration raised €1150 for the school.

  • The school will host its first car boot sale on Sunday 25th February.

  • As part of the ‘Joey’s 2020’ environment plan, a sensory movement room has been set up for pupils in the outside building and is now in use.

  • ‘Joey’s 2020’ is continuing to progress - this term the plan will focus on attendance and punctuality. Pupils will be involved in many initiatives as part of the plan and updates will be available on the website and in the school.

  • The Board would like to commend staff on the wide range of extra-curricular activities in the school. Pupils, parents and the Board greatly appreciate the opportunities these activities provide and the time, energy and commitment involved. Thank you for your continued hard work.
