Board of Management Report - 19th June 2018

  • The Lip Sync Battle in St. Vincent’s GAA club was a huge success, raising €5000 for the school. The Board would like to thank everyone involved in organising the fundraiser, the participants and the audience who voted for the acts.
  • As part of the ‘Joey’s 2020’ environment plan smart screens and active panels are now installed in every classroom.

  • School Self Evaluation (SSE) for 2018-19 will focus on Gaeilge, oral language, Physical Education (PE) fundamental movement skills and Social Personal and Health Education (SPHE).

  • The Board would like to thank all staff for their hard work and continued dedication this year. The wide range of teaching and learning methodologies employed and extra-curricular activities provided are very much appreciated.

  • Congratulations to all 6th class pupils and their families following the Graduation ceremony today. Wishing you all the very best of luck and every success when you start secondary school in August.

  • The Board would like to thank Eilish Cattanach who has served as a Parent’s Representative on the Board of Management for several years and will step down at the end of this school year. Your commitment, hard work and support in all endeavours are greatly appreciated.

  • The Board wish everyone in the school community a happy and healthy summer break, school opens for the 2018-19 year on Thursday 30th August.
