ACTIVE SCHOOL APPLICATION

We are applying for an Active School Flag this year. We have always been a very active school and have had a strong focus on staying fit and healthy.

Even though Covid has prevented us from having after school active clubs and sports teams, we have remained active throughout the pandemic. We have taken part in the Marathon Kids programme, the daily mile initiative and classes have been out and about in the community on a daily basis.

As part of the application for an Active Flag, we have to show how active we are currently, while also committing to further develop our approaches to physical education and other active initiatives.

To start off the application we have to do a few things:

Audit the sports equipment and order new equipment if needed.

Send a survey to staff, pupils and parents so we all have an input into this application.

Introduce new activities on our school yard and increase the amount of time and focus we put into PE.

 

We would love to get your input, and will be posting a parents survey on our website this week. It won’t take long to complete, but your feedback will be a vital part of the application.

This application will hopefully coincide with a more open school year with lots of fun activities for our boys.
